The UNRESTRICTED CHRIST: “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Rom 8:32). With Christ, it’s all or nothing. When we are without Him, no matter how large our bank account, we are bankrupt. With Him, according to our verse, we have everything God Himself has! I love the story William Gamble tells about an inner city boy brought to a London hospital for treatment. At mealtime, he was offered a glass of milk. Before lifting it to his lips, the little fellow asked anxiously, “How deep can I drink, Miss?” How much that question expressed of the poverty of a home where a glass had to be shared among others. He could hardly believe it, when, for the first time in his little life, he was told he could drink it all. Dear believer, you have as much of Christ as you wish! He is all for you. If you have little of Him, that is all you have taken in of His blessings. If thirsty—you “shall be filled” (Mt 5:6).
