CHRIST the CAPTIVATOR: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive” (Eph 4:8). “…bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor 10:5). We who were Satan’s captives have been set free, only to be captivated now by the love of Christ! The Psalmist describes in Psalm 119 how captivated he is: “With my whole HEART I have sought You!” (v 10). “With my LIPS I have declared all the judgments of Your mouth” (v 13). “Open my EYES, that I may see wondrous things from Your law” (v 18). “My SOUL breaks with longing for Your judgments at all times” (v 20). “My HANDS also I will lift up to Your commandments, which I love” (v 48). “I thought about my ways, and turned my FEET to Your testimonies” (v 59). Mary James wrote:
“Let my hands perform His bidding; Let my feet run in His ways.
Let my eyes see Jesus only; Let my lips speak forth His praise.
All for Jesus! All for Jesus! Let my lips speak forth His praise.”
